Vastu

Vastu Shashtra is a natural science of Architecture.  Indian sages and rishis created it for the welfare of the entire humanity. Its knowledge enables us to get benefits of mental peace, health and wealth in order to  make our life happy. This science, after propounding the rules of construction, goes to prove that by constructing properly our buildings, villages, towns, cities, shops, offices, factories and industries we can make ourselves prosperous and happy. The Vastu Shastra is founded upon the laws of nature. This is the eternal rule of nature and it has no place for any logic, doubt or debate.

The directions have significance as East and West are important as far as obtaining the energy from the sun is concerned and the importance of the directions of the North and the South lies in the flow of magnetic waves which flows from North Pole to South Pole. Therefore southward portion of every building should be higher than the northward portion. The five basic elements  which are part of human body  balanced and hence we shall check them before construction.

Earth

The selection of site for building construction is very important. Besides, congenial environment, greenery and availability of water, we should also see if the land is suitable for building construction.

Water

As far as the flow of domestic water is concerned, it should be borne in mind and that such water should be drained out in North - East. Wells, tubewells, swimming pools etc. should all be in the North-East. The water from the toilets and bathrooms, too, should be drained out in the North- East. The North-East direction is always auspicious and suitable for water. There are sewer-systems in the cities. The Septic tanks or the flow of sewer systems should be towards North - West. The flow of rain or fresh water should be towards North- East.

Fire

The direction of Fire is South-East. The Kitchen, fireplace, geysers etc. should be placed only in this direction. Alternatively these could be placed in North-West, because it is at 180 degree to South-East.

Air

The air should enter the building from North -East. All the openings and media for air entry such as doors, windows, ventilators coolers, air-conditioners, verandahs, balconies etc. should be in this directions.

Space

The open sky influences greatly. We can get the effect of terrestrial-energies uninterruptedly. But the buildings prove a barrier to the effects of open sky. Therefore, the importance of roofs or lawns gets emphasized Traditionally every house in India used to have an open space (Court Yard) in the center of the house. It provided the dwellers not only the open sky but also sunlight and cross-ventilation of air.

We provide proper guidence at the time of conceiving the project and also the remedies in case of already constructed building without making the physical alteration, some of them are as listed below :

Kitchen remedy

Not all home owners may have a kitchen that completely conforms to Vastu, even after making modifications. In such cases, there are several remedial measures available, to correct Vastu defects. Some of them have been elaborated below:

  • The kitchen should not be placed under or above a toilet or bathroom.
  • Remedy: Hang a 50 mm crystal on the centre of the ceiling and colour the ceiling yellow, to minimise the negative vibrations.
  • The kitchen and the toilet should not share a common wall.
  • Remedy: Paste a zinc metal ‘nine pyramid’ on both sides of the wall that is common to the kitchen and bathroom, to minimise the bad energy.
  • The kitchen should never be situated in the north-east or north direction, as this can invite arguments, hinder wealth and luck from entering your life and also adversely affect one’s career.
  • Remedy: Paste a Jupiter crystal pyramid above the stove, to minimise negative vibration.
  • The cooking stove should be placed in the south-east corner and the members of the family should face east while cooking.
  • Remedy: Paste a set of three zinc pyramids on the wall opposite to the stove.
  • A kitchen should not face the main door of the house.
  • Remedy: Hang a 50 mm crystal between the main door and the kitchen door, on the ceiling.
  • The temple or pooja room should never be placed above the kitchen sink.
  • Remedy: place a crystal shreeyantra in the temple and add a yellow light bulb in the temple.
  • Do not place temple above the stove, as it is believed that this will burn your blessings.
  • Remedy: Paste a sun crystal pyramid between the stove and the temple.
  • The kitchen and bathroom doors should not be opposite to each other.
  • Remedy: Hang a 50 mm crystal on the ceiling, between the two doors.
  • The stove/gas should be on the east wall, if the kitchen is in the south-east area.
  • Remedy: Paste a Venus crystal pyramid above the stove.
  • The kitchen sink should be at least three feet away from the stove/gas.
  • Remedy: Place a clear crystal rock cluster on the kitchen platform, in between the stove and the sink.
  • All electrical appliances, such as ovens, mixer-grinders, etc., should be on the south-east wall.
  • Remedy: Paste a mars crystal pyramid besides the oven.
  • The water storage tank should not be above the kitchen, or on south-east side, or anywhere in the kitchen, as this can invite ill health, and adversely affect wealth and prosperity.
  • Remedy: Hang a 50 mm crystal on the four corners of the kitchen’s ceiling.
